The Rule Of Odds:

What is The Rule Of Odds?
As the name implies, the “rule of odds” states that when you're including a group of subjects in your photo, an odd number, rather than an even number will produce a more interesting, and visually pleasing composition.

For this discussion thread post your image with an odd number of subjects that follow the “Rule of Odds” guideline. Your composition should have 3 or a maximum of 5 subjects. ( A grouping of 7 and above tends to look crowded) So, let's see your "Rule of Odds" Remember to keep it odd -- not even.

Interesting Fact: The Rule of Odds has been a rule of design from ancient times. Understanding that compositions with “three rather than two” or “five rather than four” are just visually more interesting.

Post your Rule of Odds image for a chance to be featured on our home page. The subjects for this thread do not necessarily have to be from New Jersey.
